My journey in music has been an incredible one, full of challenges and triumphs. When I received my first guitar at 21, I had no idea how difficult it would be to play. In fact, I found it so challenging I put it away in my closet for six years. But the desire to express myself musically never left me, and I eventually picked up the guitar again. This led me on an amazing journey of self-discovery, where I found that I had music inside my soul that had messages for me that transformed the trajectory of my life.

After traveling to Nepal, India, and Thailand, I landed a job teaching literature, in an American International school in Portugal. I also began to play the guitar using a host of internal and external guides. When I returned to the States, my career changed completely. I began working with a private guitar teacher. He not only taught me how to play the guitar but recommended me for a job in a music school in Paso Robles, CA called Divine Appointment Guitars. This is where I began teaching guitar, piano, ukulele and developing my unique creativity course that became my workbook, "An Odyssey of Song." Since 2005, I have been working as a music instructor, creativity coach and developing my skills as a singer/songwriter and performer. I love seeing my students transform their creative blocks and performance anxiety to find their voice and express the unique song of who they are!
